"this is initially going to seem like heresy from a progressive is -- the truth is everybody needs to pay more taxes, not just the rich"
Heresy from a progressive usnt making everybody pay more taxes. The heresy is openly telling the truth about making everybody pay more taxes.

When it came time to pay his own property taxes in Marxist redoubt Burlington, Vermont, the Screamer came up short, claiming his check got lost in the mail. Then, of course, he had to holler “Do you know who I am?” when city hall added penalty and interest to the amount due. He refused to pay the penalty and interest. How is that for a Jackass double standard? “It’s good for thee but not for me.”

He’s almost right - the bottom 40% needs to pay some taxes to have real skin in the game and to maybe get a better understanding of why the “liberal” principles are the problem vs. the cure.

But we're not going to get out of this deficit problem unless we raise taxes across the board"ARGH! This meme is beyond ANY conclusion a rational person would come to.
It's like a morbidly obese person saying "I'm fat, so I need more food!"

But, but, but, didn't Barack HUSSEIN Obama promise not to raise taxes on the middle class? Wait until everyone finds out what happens to them with Obamacare.
There is no such thing as an honest Democrat and they are all economic illiterates.

Taxes to the federal government are the single largest expense I incur. Combined income and payroll taxes (just my 'contribution', not my employer's) cost me more than my house, including the extra amount that I pay each month on a 15-year mortgage. It is larger than my food bill. Larger than my charitable contributions, which, if Dean is like most liberals, are far higher, percentage-wise, than his. Larger than the cost of my cars, which are paid for and all have over 100k miles. My federal tax bill is larger than my utilities, my gas, and my insurance combined. The largest demand on my bank account, which in turn is the largest demand of my income, my time, my life, is tribute to the federal monster that is destroying our country.
And, you want more? Screw you. And, if we go off the cliff, I will be paying more. About 4 grand or so more. Plus, I will probably be hit with the AMT for 2012 taxes, if they don't take care of that.
Tell you what. We can go back to Clinton tax rates if we go back to Clinton spending levels. We can even index it for inflation and population growth. Deal?
