Will American boys and girls open fire on their own people?

When ordered to, some will. Probably most of them especially if they've been properly indoctrinated and primed first.

The other question is, will American people be able to fire on American soldiers, even in self defense?
They could be our own children and the armed citizen does not have the law on his side anymore.
The soldiers too will if course claim self defense.
This situation is getting increasingly dicey and dangerous.
