For conservatives, attacks on us like this ought to be good news. Apparently the New York Times thinks we have a lot more clout in the Republican Party than we give ourselves credit for having.
And a strong related warning to our own side: These New York Times columnists think the Tea Party and Rick Santorum are working hand-in-glove. They're wrong. We as conservatives are much more disorganized and fight each other almost as much as we fight liberals. I hope we conservatives take note that the liberals don't distinguish between different shades of conservative activism. We're all going to get blamed for things they don't like, so maybe social conservatives, economic conservatives, and national defense conservatives ought to be working together a bit more?
I’d certainly have no compunction about voting for Santorum again.
