This man Rooney’s conclusions were the Freepers conclusions simply 1 hour after it was initially reported. Are the Congressmen that thoughtless that they cannot figure out these things which are simply a logical progresson of thought?

Congressmen that thoughtless? After they are elected, they lose that ability. It is checked at the door of Boehner and Reid, or be BOOTED from ANY committees until they learn how to behave.
Yes, yes they are. They are slick talkers but not logical thinkers. I am sad to say my conservative congressman answered a voter's question thus:
Q: We (conservatives) feel we are no longer represented in the voting process, we look at the map and see all the red yet we are not represented, we have no voice in the election of the President. What can we do?
A: Perhaps it's time to go to a popular vote rather than the EC.
I about fainted! Now this representative is a good man, but obviously doesn't know the source of the EC, why the rural areas need it and what needs to be done to correct the under representation of the less populated (but food producing, oil producing, and other necessary items for life)areas of the USA.
Very sad. And probably the end of the Republic that we have known and loved.
