WATSON: After the election of Jimmy Carter, the honorable Coleman Alexander Young, he went to Washington, DC, and he came back home with some bacon.
WOMAN: All right!
COUNCIL: Mmm-hmm!
WATSON: That's what you do. That's what you do! This is a... Our people in an overwhelming way supported the reelection of this president, and there ought to be a quid pro quo and you ought to exercise leadership on that.
RUSH: Yeah. So basically she's saying, "Obama, bail us out. We voted for you, dude. Bail us out. There's gotta be a quid pro quo. The old mayor, Coleman Young, he went to Washington and he came back home with some bacon. Well, we want some bacon. We want some pork." So the city council in Detroit is asking for an Obama bailout, and people get righteously indignant when you say that Obama is Santa Claus.
When you say that people voted for Obama because he's Santa Claus.

I just love negroes showing their true colors.
They’re going to get some bacon but it will be Canadian bacon in the form of a new bridge because Canada needs it and Detroit is in the way.
Canada is paying for the bridge and will collect the tolls but there will be a lot of jobs created to build it and there will be needed freight infrastructure on this side of the river. Looks like we’re going to become a right to work state sooner rather than later and that will help Detroit whether they like it or not.
Think about it. What would Laredo be like without that major freight crossing? Detroit is second only to Laredo in cargo crossing the border. (Around 1.5 million trucks per year now)
Unfortunately, that is EXACTLY how tens of millions of people who voted for Obama think.
And they now outnumber the producers.
It seems that once again all us white folks have missed a great opportunity.
While the Blacks and Mexican people attended Obama's campaign rallies, we should have broken into their homes and gotten all our shit back.**

Politicians: “Just keep electing us and we’ll give you whatever you want!”
Everyone wants their pockets lined as long as it involves stealing from someone else. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but ***Ra’s al Ghul is right***.

Yep, those guys are entirely brazen. Help was offered in the form of an emergency manager, but that meant eliminating the corruption and crony politics.
Detroit proceeded to mount a ballot initiative to stop the effective help, succeeds in torpedoing it, and since it will now go bankrupt, wants a handout to keep the corruption and chaos alive for a little while longer.
Please don’t blame the rest of the state for Detroit. We did, you know, elect a good governor. Simply dismantling the old unlimited cash welfare has fundamentally changed the state for the better.
The rest of the state could do themselves and the other “56” states a favor, and also vote to allocate Electoral College votes by each Congressional District instead of a statewide winner-take-all.
Michigan would become a battleground state for real, and if the trend continued rural portions of other states like Illinois, Pennsylvania and Ohio might go the same way.
