Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) warned his conference on Wednesday that leaders are "watching" how the rank-and-file vote to determine committee assignments, according to sources in the closed-door meeting.
Boehner addressed the firestorm over the removal of four lawmakers from plum committee assignments at the weekly GOP conference meeting.

I’m through with the GOP - I hereby pledge to vote for the most conservative Christian candidate for any and all elections, regardless of party. If no candidate meets the minimum standard, I’ll write in someone. Crybaby Boehner can kiss my fat butt.
This is so typical of the establishment. Bendover Boehner is acting like the DC madam and wants all republicans to act like whores or they'll be whipped.
Let me tell you this in plain language. I'll do whatever it takes to retire Boehner back to his hometown.
That's what happens when you try to marginalize Constitutionalists.
Live with it. You and yours did it.

Hey Conservatives
...leave the GOP!!!!

I do know the committee Chairs are generally good people (Paul Ryan as Chair of Budget is certainly not a liberal appointee. Neither is Jeb Henserling on Finance. Peter King is not as conservative but as Chair of Homeland Security he was a stalwart.) Are there a couple of bad apples? Don't know of any but like you I don't know everything that goes on.
Already done.

No, I never promised anything.
All I said is that you will never achieve cuts without knowing how people vote.
Pretty basic.
Not with the Republicans involved, anyway.
But you know that.
I do dearly hope the GOP goes the way of the royalist party. Soon.
I'll be doing everything I can to make that happen.

And that seems to be why you think it OK to appoint members willy nilly onto committees with no consideration for their past.
I understand. Not too bright...but I understand.
You can pick at my posts all you want, you can score all the 'points' that make you feel better, but you can't direct my vote. Or even ask for it.
You have lost. Badly.

Pragmatism at work. Ain’t it beautiful?
We’re a nation of damn fools.

I haven't lost a thing. The "base" doesn't belong to me. Never did and never will.
And I'm not picking at your posts. I'm simply pointing out where you are being illogical.
And there it is, summed up perfectly. Bonehead believes that because Ohio went for Obama his job as a representative of the state is to support Obama as well. Even more so if his district went for Obama. He needs to step down and be replaced by someone from a district that didn't go for Obama. Obama owns him now.
Sort of. Ohio has 88 counties. 14 of them voted for you know who. Sickening, isn’t it?
Quit your griping! Get it done!
It's over.
Do you think that 'pointing out where you are being illogical' is going to win the party votes?
That will work as well as telling principled conservatives that 'not voting for Romney is the same as voting for Obama'.
How did that exersize work out for you?
/johnny
Boehner has gone over to the Obamistas ~ time to purge him for his own good!
