Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) took a public shot at House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) Tuesday night, in the wake of a shake-up that knocked a small group of conservatives off prominent committees.
Justin Amash ✔ @repjustinamash Still waiting for call from GOP leadership. Are they too embarrassed to explain they booted me for working to reduce debt? 4 Dec 12 ReplyRetweetFavorite
Amash, a libertarian-leaning conservative, was taken off the House Budget Committee. Tea party-backed Rep. Tim Huelskamp (Kan.) was taken off Budget and Agriculture. Reps. Walter Jones (N.C.), a rare moderate, and David Schweikert (Ariz.) lost their spots on the Financial Services Committee. Amash, Huelskamp and Schweikert were all first elected in the 2010 Republican wave.

I'm disgusted about what happened to West.
Time to elect a new Speaker ..??????????
It’s going to get worse.
Boehner and the RNC don’t have the guts to do anything except shaft us.

Meanwhile, the Dems merrily continue trying to forge one party communist rule.
I don't like you.

It's going to get much worse. We all must focus on what we can do, and avoid being caught up in the inconsequential, as some evidently have.
It's time to be moving on.

Former Minnesota Gov.(and a bit of a nutjob)Jesse “The Body”Ventura once said there was little difference between politicians and pro wrestlers in the fact that while the camera is on ,they put on a show and pretend to be at odds, meanwhile behind the scenes they are all buds and compliment each other on a good performance.Much like WWE who is a babyface and who is a heel is determined by the people and a little script tweaking..I tend to think he is on the mark here..Million dollar question is who is the Vince McMahon character planning and pulling all the strings in the political process?Soros?
Ventura was right. Politics is a dirty business, with so much money to be made that it attracts some of the worst elements.
” you’re part of this rabid mob here on FR who wants to believe the worst about Boehner.”
What has he ever done right?
” He may deserve some criticism when this is over but not now and not over the removal of these members.”
He only removed conservatives.
Man, do we ever need leadership right now.
Exactly right. Conservatives need to stop fighting over the election and over things we can't change. There needs to be a major push against the status quo and a clear message. The TEA party had their attention with the DC rallies but after 2010 and the TEA party's backdown, the beltway elite stopped paying attention again. It's seriously time to send them packing and start over with fresh conservatives. These politicians are not representatives of the people, they instead fancy themselves our rulers. That needs to change and they need to go!
” Ask yourself why the Republicans never used any of the ammunition Obama gave them, against him. There was a treasure trove of sound bites, executive orders and crony capitalism that could have been aired with proof positive of its truth and not an iota of it was used.”
Exactly.
Conservatives are the wimps because they willingly and repeatedly take this abuse from the GOP. Everyone knows they don’t have guts enough to leave the plantation.
Am I the only person who thinks we should just let the Bush tax cuts expire, let taxes go up on everyone, reduce spending in defense and entitlements... in short let Obama have what he wants...under the assessment that there is an impasse, and let the democrats, but mostly Obama have this clearly his budget.
In short, walk away. If the man is not going to negotiate, then forget it. Pass what you need to pass, and the Senate accepts it or it doesn’t and move the hell on.
Either way, this economy and our international situation is going to get worse. So why hitch the republicans to this?
This is a failed presidency that will fail even more in the coming months. I think the democrats orchestrated the economy collapse under Bush, let’s do the same to Obama.
I don’t disagree at all.
He removed Ron Paul supporters who had taken wacky votes that if you would bother to investigate, you would not agree with, either.
