Raising the tax rates and/or eliminating deductions is a one-time windfall, long term it won’t hold true.

So true..

Last week my lunch-mate talked to a restaurateur about what he would do after 12/31.

His response was I will be the only full time employee and everyone else goes to 28 hrs. He said I worked to hard to this "I am not playing his games" ergo he is going "Galt-Lite"...

So think about it, said resturant owner could...

* Also reduce total employees to 49
* Close storefronts to equal that number.
* If the new threshold is $250,000, lets say he bumps up to it. So, he dials back his income to 200 and something + other income takes him to just $249,000....

Tell me who the hell really benefits from Stupid legislation!

This is the reason for 49cc scooters, 998cc engines in Europe and 3 wheelers in England. To beat the Tax Man and the Stupidy of their taxing your ability to hire more people or be productive!

And as these folks who could provide private sector jobs walk away for good, we are left with few experienced business people for the future.
