FreedomWorks Urges Activists to Call Speaker Boehners Office to Stop the Fiscal Conservative Purge
FreedomWorks
Press Release
Washington, DC- Following news that fiscally conservative Congressmen David Schweikert (R-AZ), Justin Amash (R-MI) and Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) have been removed from their committee positions by Republican leadership, FreedomWorks president Matt Kibbe released the following statement:
Is there room in the House Republican Conference for legislators who believe that Washington is spending too much money it does not have? Based on this remarkably hostile act by leadership, the answer may be no. This is a clear attempt on the part of Republican leadership to punish those in Washington who vote the way they promised their constituents they would -- on principle -- instead of mindlessly rubber-stamping trillion dollar deficits and the bankrupting of America. This is establishment thinking, circling the wagons around yes-men and punishing anyone that dares to take a stand for good public policy.
FreedomWorks is urging all members to call Speaker of the House John Boehners office and urge him to stop the fiscal conservative purge. The enemies of fiscal sanity are tax-and-spend politicians, not public servants willing to say enough is enough.
FreedomWorks is a grassroots service center to a community of over 2 million fiscal conservatives nationwide. For more information, please contact Jackie Bodnar at Jbodnar@freedomworks.org or visit www.FreedomWorks.org.
Don’t think it really matters if you call does it? In the end they will not listen the whole lot of them are corrupt
making phone calls won’t fix the problem.
Funny how the 2010 House victories are treated like decades old news now.
The bottom line is - the Republicrats look out for their own and scr*w everybody outside the Beltway.
Count me in.
Screw ‘em. I’m done supporting anyone who isn’t a Libertarian, independent, or Constitution Party.
“Dont think it really matters if you call does it?”
No It doesn’t, Constitutional & Fiscial Conservitivism, much like Christianity, is not welcomed in Washington anymore.
I agree. The only thing that might get them to change is going through 2, maybe 3 more congressional election cycles of deep sixing their moderate/RINO candidates they keep trying to force down our throats. Then again, the US probably won’t be in existence after 2 or 3 more congressional cycles. Sad.
What’s the phone number?
These guys were Paul supporters, some of which might want to gut the military and who refused to defund Planned Parenthood.
I can tell you that Iowa has a huge problem with Paulbots and it's easy for me to be sympathetic for having these guys removed.
I'm far more concerned about the "deal" Boehner may come up with.
Classic. Knowing the past of ‘bend-over Boehner’ you’ll look the other way over Libertarian leaning members who don’t toe the GOPe line getting the toss?
You should be fuming over Boehner on BOTH (the ‘deal’ and the snubs), and not so much on the rest.
And I have as of yet to hear any (L/l) fighting to fund PP or any other gov’t hand-out....But I have been known to be wrong before ;)
