-> America's economic problems are serious business. Obviously the House Republican leadership wants serious people working on them

Didn't your read the report from the Heritage Foundation which says the GOP headed by our speaker put no real solutions in getting the country's more urgent issues addressed. Whether those people are not to your tasting, the voters voted them in to get the government under control and to stop spending. The GOP just cut them off at the knees because they were Paul like (not buying it)

They were only removed from a committee, not from the House.

We are having a terrible time with crazy Paulbots here in Iowa--they have nearly destroyed RPI so it is easy for me to sympathize with leadership who removed them.

Christie at the beach, do you think defaulting on the debt is a real solution?

IMO, the House should have passed a “metered” debt limit increase, which would have gradually increased the debt limit, month by month, by large enough to prevent default, but small enough to keep the squeeze on for fiscal responsibility. But to oppose ANY debt limit increase at all is completely irresponsible.
