How many Americans had to work their whole lives to pay in income tax the $4 million dollars for the Obamas to go on vacation?
Neal Boortz said something years ago that helped put government's out of control spending. He was referring to Congress, but the principle is the same. If someone introduced some pork spending for a study of the mating habits of the green-thoraxed screeching beetle or, in this case, a tax-payer supplemented vacation, one would have to take the cost of the item, $4 million, divide it by $10,000, the average household tax bill, and stand up in front of that many families, in this case 400, and tell them why the government needs to confiscate their money for the item. Why it is more important for Obama to go on vacation for two weeks than for the family, who earned the money, to pay off their credit cards or put braces on their kids or buy a car to replace the one breaking down.
To take it a step further to answer your question, if you figure 40 years of earning, Obama is forcing 10 families to work their entire lives to pay the taxes necessary to send these worthless people on a vacation for a couple of weeks.
I can't decide if I am more reminded of Marie Antoinette or Yertle the Turtle.
