House Speaker John Boehner told host Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday" that President Barack Obama is "not being serious" about proposing a deal to avert the so-called "fiscal cliff," slamming the president and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner's initial offer.
"It was not a serious offer," Boehner said. "I looked at [Geithner] and I said, 'You can't be serious?'
"You know, we've got several weeks between Election Day and the end of the year. And three of those weeks have been wasted with this nonsense."

I wasn't saying that you were saying that silly. I was characterizing those who you were complaining about.
“JMr Boehner should not be negotiating with Mr Geithner. Boehner is the leader of one of the co-equal branches of government. Mr Geithner is not! Aside of being a tax cheat, Geithner is merely a secretary for the administration..... If Obama doesnt want to talk to Boehner, then Boehner should pass a bill making permanent all of the Bush tax cuts and go home for the holidays......”
Is that really possible?
???? You actually think that picture of him with O and Rev Al makes the case for him?
by which side ??? the 'R's are getting into the 10 yrs from now planning game too, so i doubt the blame would be burdened by anybody currently serving... 8^}
When middle America sees themselves paying thousands more in taxes, we can hang it on Obama.
or bambam can hang it on the 'tax cuts for the rich'...
It looks a LOT better to be in the Oval Office in a meeting setting where he can be interviewed afterwards and get HIS opinion out to the public rather than out jerkin' around on a golf course with Barry like the present speaker.
I would MUCH rather see Newt on a daily basis getting in the Kenyan's business and head, busting Nancy's chops, smacking Harry (NO budget in Three years!!) Reid's head around, and seeing Newt messing with every Sunday Morning Talk Show host instead of McCain and Graham, and watch Jay Carney have to explain "what Newt said about the administration again today" EVERYDAY, than the worthless weakings tha are now "in charge".
Lib's heads would literally explode worldwide.
THAT's why I chose the pic with THAT CAPTION. It would not be "business as usual".
We need a LEADER right now who will challenge Barry and his bunch at every opportunity. IMHO, Newt would be that guy to put us on offense instead of the defeatest defensive mood permiating from the election loss.

Pardon me. I must be getting paranoid : )
