Two things.
First, anyone who needs a pledge to do the right thing is unworthy of office to begin with.
Second, Norquist’s reputation is beyond repair and the attempts to try are tiresome.
Liberals are tryng to split conservatives. A candidate for Congress signed Grover’s pledge in my office in 1992. He was running against an incumbent who had singed the pledge and then violated it when Bush 41 moved his lips.
If Grover is on the side of Islamists, shame on him. It doesn’t invalidate his pledge.
