About the only performance a Texas governor can turn in is:
a) Didn't screw up.
b) used what little power he/she has with access to the bully pulpit to screw up royally, and p!$$ people off.
Heck, Ma Ferguson did a tolerable job of p!$$ing people off, considering that half the Texas Rangers quit, and the other half got fired.

You fail to mention the school girls had an ‘opted out’ if wanted but I’m sure that was an oversight. It’s your state, enjoy it while you can as the grass roots does the fighting.
