Bear spray is nothing but a stronger form of pepper spray. will temporary blind some but no permanent damage.

Wasp and hornet spray could very well do permanent damage.

I wouldn't recommend wasp or hornet spray except to save ones life.

I wouldn't be spraying someone unless I felt they could harm me anyhow, and if you're in my house (or yard) and attempting to steal from me, all bets are off.. My weapons of choice on the job not too long ago was screen opener (nasty stuff) or web spray adhesive. In fact that reminds me I need to stock up on a few things.
