So here's my cartoon treatment of this story.

• The lovely oriental woman sees the perp stealing a package.
• She takes the bear spray and sprays out a large cloud, off to her left.
• The cloud dissolves into a very large bear, who lets out a mighty roar.
• She takes her bokken and points towards the perp, inviting the bear to, well, be a bear.
• The bear moves forward and eats the perp.
• Happy ending.
