lots of urban flooding and downed branches. Small creek by my house is the highest i’ve ever seen it at.

Current SF Bay Area weather map has flood watch posted everywhere _except_ Oakland,

but Oakland is honeycombed with many urban creeks, the biggest of which have been shoved underground into culverts. It's only a matter of time before those culverts have had their fill and we start to see small lakes appearing at traffic intersections. I saw the makings of one of them yesterday. The "brook in the city" WILL be respected :).

Had storm drains actually have water flowing out of them because the system was so overloaded. Creek by my house has almost backed the water back up into the street via my drain again. however, the last band of heavy rain passing thru sacto now, clearing on the back side.

Heard Marin county had flash flood warnings through this afternoon.
