We are having a non traditional start to winter up here around Wasilla, Alaska. Lots of wind, starts at 30mph with gusts up to 80, was really bad thureday and friday, still some gusts even today, but what it does is to blow nothing but silt and dust everywhere, almost no snow cover.

had a vehicle accident that sparked a grassfire that spread to a subdivision, and hot sots being blown miles away. No snow when we should have some, too much wind. Locals are predicting a no snow winter, don’t know about that as last year broke records. Probably won’t snow cause I just bought a snowmachine.

that sounds like tough duty any way you look at it. You Alaskans are strong folks though and I know you will get through. Thoughts and prayers for you and yours. (Of course I washed my car last weekend so I am probably responsible for the rain...;})
