Just horrific news out of Kansas City this morning.

According to multiple reports, Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher shot and killed his girlfriend, and then drove to the team’s facility and killed himself.

The team confirmed the incident in a statement.

“We can confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning. We are cooperating with authorities in their investigation.”

The 25-year-old Belcher, who started 10 games this season, reportedly fired the first gunshots around 8 a.m., and then drove to the facility a short time later. Making matters worse, Belcher and his girlfriend had a baby less than three months ago.

Several Chiefs coaches confronted Belcher, urging him not to take his own life, police say.

Head coach Romeo Crennel and general manager Scott Pioli supposedly witnessed the suicide.

There was some speculation that team officials are pushing for the NFL to postpone Sunday’s game between the Chiefs and Panthers at Arrowhead Stadium.

The league, unfortunately, isn’t listening.

Probably a great campfire story and I look forward to hearing it.

The events started in British Guyana during the 60s. It was a time when there were two factions vying for control of the newly independent nation or maybe about to be made so by Britain.

The British were supporting the side made up principally of East Indians. The Soviet Union was supporting the side which was mostly Black. In typical Communist style there were guerrilla tactics employed.

My old prof was in the Army at the time. I think maybe Army Intelligence tho I am not certain that was it. He would accompany 50 man patrols into the jungle. These were by British Commandos.

One day they were going about their usual patrol when they came upon a clearing. In the middle of it was a being dressed in a particular design literally floating in the air. All the men perceived it as a malevolent spirit. Their dog also barked at it.

When they completed their mission, they were not allowed to discuss anything except with each other. When the next patrol came back they had seen the same thing.

Apparently this creature visited the men many times over the years tho never did actually harm them. My prof kept in touch with one of the ex commandos and they both reported seeing him in their homes. If I remember right, several other people who just happened to be visiting these people also saw him.

Finally the prof told the creature, in the name of Jesus Christ to leave and never bother him again. He never saw him after that.

I am sure I am leaving some things out and probably have some things wrong as it has been a long time but that is the story as best as I can remember. I do recall the entire class was mesmerized by the story.

I think the reason the prof had not told me earlier except to just say he had seen unbelievable things in South America. I suspect enough time had passed that he was no longer bound to not discuss anything even things not secret.

As soon as I saw the reports on the Jonestown massacre, I immediately remembered that old story and strongly suspected that country, maybe because so many believed in such things, was host to evil beings.

I guess he could have just made up the story but a couple of things made me realize he was speaking truthfully. Mainly because I trusted the man.

Wow—that story made the hair on my neck stand up.

An angel sent to the prophet Daniel was held up by the Prince of Persia, another malevolent spirit. Michael the Archangel was dispatched to help the messenger get to Daniel. Took three weeks in all to get to Daniel.

So, perhaps the veil was lifted for your professor and the British troops.

I am curious—did the prof explain in detail what the “particular design” was?

Yes he did describe the design. The only thing I remember was triangles and maybe metallic but I am not even sure of that.

Thanks. The reason I ask is that Satan is called the Angel of Light. As Lucifer, he was a beautiful creation, made to glorify God.

So, the fire and brimstone pitchfork bearing Devil we see depicted is not what the Evil One looks like.

The Bible says one third of the angels followed Lucifer, so he is not the only angel on the Dark Side.

Interesting about the being visiting in their personal homes. Wonder what that was all about.

I am not really knowledgeable on demonic beings etc.

There were a couple of things which seemed interesting to me. One was that their dog (a German Shepherd) saw him, and also that the creature did not actually harm any of them.

Maybe he was just trying to frighten them.

Sometimes they do, Larry. But then we call them suicides and they barely make the news unless they’re a celeb.
