Forget last night’s interview. Newt was much better tonight on Hannity and laid out exactly what Republicans need to do and explained why they have much more power than they realize. The interview begins at the 4:00 mark.

I believe that the Speaker of the House can be a non-member

That is correct.

Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, what we need in these times.

Yep. That is a great idea.

Where did you get the Obama, 2006 quote?

It's all over the place. One Florida congressman even read it on the House floor during the last debt ceiling debate. Just google "Obama Debt Ceiling Quote". Note: The quote is actually two sentences taken from a longer speech. Regardless, it remains completely in the context Ubama intended.

Now he says he's "sorry" he made that speech.
Yeah, that sick scumbag, the African communist, is sorry, alright.

FRegards,
LH

What you may endear to yourself (hey by the way, recent news from Uganda should cheer you, they’re back to stoning gays, even those who only give sidelong curious looks let alone sodomy — you will thrill to hear about the real witch hunt going on, in the name of the bible no less) as “the base” isn’t what I meant by “Mitt’s base” meaning those people eligible to vote who passively polled, in private polls, as preferring Mitt to Obama. “Mitt’s base” was larger than “Obama’s base” as analogously defined. However, passive preferences did not transfer to active attendance at polls. Even Democrats are marveling that Mitt did not put more energy into his campaign, which would have gotten more of that passive base off its duffs.

Anyhow I know you clearly despise Mitt, but facts are facts.

Newt made a lot more "mistakes" besides backing Scozzy over Hoffman. In fact, he didn't get Conservative religion until he saw an opening after Cain folded. But a lot of folks around here with short memories did not want to here about it at the time, and instead began priasing him as the savior of the GOP.

Thanks, admittedly, Newt has been up and down but he made a lot of sense last night on Hannity. I didn’t support him at the caucus because of his inconsistencies but he was a darling here on FR, which goes to show we have no one perfect.

He was a darling for the willfully blind at FR. Those of us who knew his entire record and understood that Newt was only out for Newt were shouted down, ridiculed, and threatened with banning for refusal to disregard his couch-sitting antics before he began pretending to be a Conservative. He may have been once, but nothing in his record from 1999-2010 suggest that he stayed that way.

When we run a CONSERVATIVE Candidate, we'll win!
But RINOs like Romney, McCain, Dole, and Ford NEVER win!

willfully blind at FR
Willfully blind is harping on issues that Newt owned up to as being wrong and ignoring that fact. For example Newt said he was wrong to sit with Pelosi and changed his mind on climate. Newt, within days withdrew his comment about "right wing social engineering".

And I mean really... your link "Gingrich says Palin will not be the future GOP leader", when Gingrich himself was planning to run for President, only shows how willfully blind the few who suffer Gingrich Derangement Syndrome are while they desperately build their spamming links posts against the man.

You can and will remain willfully blind, merrily dancing to the tune of the MSM. But many of us are aware of the full picture such as Jim Robinson endorsing Gingrich for President and what his record in power is: 1998 ACU Ratings: Gingrich 100%, Paul 88%, Santorum 84% [last year all 3 were in Congress]

I saw FR go collectively from Palin to Cain to Newt and didn't understand any of it. It looked like a giant cult-like group who surrendered their individuality in order to remain in the group.

However, we can pick apart everyone of our candidates and somewhere we have to realize that we need to choose one of these flawed human beings as they are all human. We have unrealistic expectations.

We're starting the whole kabuki dance all over again and I'm not ready for it.

I agree with every word you say but Newt did lay out a reasonable plan to deal with these evil RATS.

Yeah, 1998. Everything since then has been pure RINO land, but nobody wanted to admit that after it was just him, Santorum, and Romney left. I don't have to build up any spamming links...as you can see, FR was full of derision for Newt up until the moment somebody decided that he was now the great white hope for Conservatives. And then anyone who reminded his enthusiastic new groupies the truth about his more recent record was savagely attacked.

The fact of the matter is that Newt is STILL trying to game Conservatives. He's smart and knows that he has a desperate audience looking for leadership out of the wilderness, I'll give that to him, but to disregard his record from 1999 up until he decided he wanted to run as a Conservative is pure foolishness.

That is nothing but a bunch of claptrap.

"Someone decided"...? That is pure crazy talk.

Jim Robinson did a poll himself on FR and found most people were supporting Gingrich.

Watch this video posted on YouTube Jun 3, 2010 of Newt talking conservative ideals in the belly of the beast (Detroit). This is his record.
Gingrich to Michigan: Change or Die

That's just one video, there are plenty of speeches and interviews where Gingrich talks about conservative ideas. Sarah Palin had many good things to say about Gingrich while he was running for President and Todd Palin endorsed him.

The only ones being gamed are those buying the MSM narrative about Gingrich.

You have Gingrich all figured out to be the Evil One while he games the rest of us. That's not only arrogant but loopy.

Listen to the fine points Gingrich makes in this interview with Hannity... what an Evil bastard right? (cue Twilight Zone music)

I could care less about a 2010 video from when he was running for president. I do care about his very public record from 1999 to 2010.

It never ceases to amaze me how easily some people can be bamboozled by snake oil men with a few sweet sounding words.

Jim Robinson did a poll himself on FR and found most people were supporting Gingrich.

And that translated into exactly how many primary victories?
