I blame part of it on the advent of no-knock “dynamic entry” tactics. When people exercise their right to keep and bear arms in defense of their homes and families, kicking someone’s door down in the middle of the night becomes a high-risk proposition.
And that's as it should be. When your government thinks it needs to act like a criminal in the street, its time to make their choice of tactics something to ponder heavily.
Whatever happened to the uniformed cop showing up at a decent hour, knocking on the door and presenting a warrant? When did we replace a fine police force with Cheka?
