401K’s and IRA’s only benefit the top 20%. That’s not fair; they must be confiscated for the general good in these hard economic times.
One way to kill this idea? Want to pass a bill requiring private citizens to surrender their 401k’s and IRA’s, then make all present and former members of Congress surrender their pensions as well. After all, most of them have so enriched themselves by virtue of their elected office as our public servants, they don’t need those pensions.
Congress only voted for ObamaCare after they were assured that they were exempt from the monstrosity.
Government employees/Congress pensions paid for by taxpayers? But...they are untouchable?
The trick... is figuring out how do we structure government systems that pool resources and, hence, facilitate some redistribution, because I actually believe in redistribution, at least at a certain level, to make sure that everybodys got a shot, Obama said.
