The whole line of logic is a joke. Who establishes the Poverty Rate? Is that rate a moving target relative to a bell curve of the country's income or is it a stationary target that we can actually measure against? And does OUR poverty rate relate at all to other poverty rates around the world? If the poverty rate really measures very little, then I would be for changing the term.

Also, Obama makes it sound like we have not been redistributing money for decades already. The War on Poverty has failed! The goal of these "safety nets" should be to get people off of the programs, but that is NOT the actual goal.

Get rid of the FAILED "government assistance" programs and GIVE US BACK OUR MONEY!
