I haven't read the replies yet so this may be redundant but you may post up to 300 words from a site that is "excerpt only", also it is considered a no no to post 300 words of a 301 word article. If you try to post more than 300 words from an excerpt only source, FReeRepublic will auto stop you.

It is also forbidden and I see this a lot from people who should know better, Posting an excerpt then posting the rest of the article in comment #1.

OH NO! I am so sorry. Mr. Resettozero asked me here in Guatemala City if I would do him a favor and post an excerpt from this article on the Free Republic dot com websight for him and I said yes. My JavaScript Kit online word counter shows I excerpted 298 words -- just THREE words shy of being AUTO-STOPPED BY THE FREE REPUBLIC COUNTER! I'm so sorry that I came so close to the edge of peril and will insist that Mr. Resettozero do his own FR posting in the future, regardless how much I like him and that shapely young wife of his. :-) Flourine
