Well, we know it sure won’t be a beer summit.
General Anthony Clement McAuliffe: “NUTS!”
Of course it’s a photo op, but I’m beginning to think something interesting is afoot.
The other day Obama signed a bill that had to do with exempting American airlines from Europe’s carbon taxes. It was a clear poke in the eye to environmentalists, who lobbied for him not to sign it.
Obama no longer needs the cash from enviros, he still has unions and gays, and he will continue to please them. Obama is most certainly an ideologue, but I don’t think he saw environmentalism as anything more than a tool to gain and maintain power. Socialists like oil, once they have power.
Could it be he is beginning to care about his legacy? Is it possible he will throw them under the bus? His history is full of examples of dispensing with those he no longer needs.
Enviros didn’t like Obama signing that bill, and they don’t like this meeting with Romney either.
We will know where environmentalism stands with Obama if he opens the Keystone pipeline to Canada.
Perhaps wishful thinking, but we’ll have to wait and see.
$$$$$
A sad day for an outgoing president is Jan 20 when the outgoing couple has to entertain the incoming couple to a lunch and tour of the White House.
Obama must have been dreading that day - evil white guy taking over his eminence's rightful place - so having this lunch instead is just one more version of the end zone dance.
It is an opportunity to humiliate Romney and look at his face while he is doing it.
Very playground bully behavior.
I’d give up a month’s pay to see Obummer come out of that lunch meeting with a fat, purple, swollen black eye.
Be still, my heart.
I'm pretty sure you can scratch this one from the list.
0bambi is going to reward him for throwing the “election” and appoint him Ambassador to the Vatican.
After the way Romney was treated by obama, the rats and the media, I think he should decline the meeting.
I think Obama is doing it just to look bipartisan, and try to encourage compliance from Republicans. However, the best thing Romney can do, which seems to have shown, is not pull the Chris Christie, come with his words of advice, and go. I find it unlikely that Obama really cared about what Romney had to say though. It would have spoken louder if he already made him Secretary of the Treasury: That’s Not Happening though.
6. Better than meet with Ryan (who actually has Congressional power RIGHT NOW, has policy ideas - and who can also add, subtract, AND will make earnest-but-necessarily-patronizing public remarks about the corrupt union-tool ObaMao after meeting).
6) Obama wants to know what’s the difference between Obamacare and Romneycare.
7) They are comparing notes to see if their policies are in alignment with what Soros told them to do.
8) They’re having a victory party for having defeated conservates.
9) Obama is trying to learn Romney’s technique of tapping into anti-Chinese sentiment without really promising anything of consequence.
10) Obama’s going to ask Romney what Homosexual activists Romney favors for the judicial bench.
