First Lady Unveils White House Holiday Decorations

(WASHINGTON) -- It took 54 live Christmas trees, 175 pounds of gingerbread, and 85 volunteers from across the country to pull it off, but the holidays have finally arrived at the White House.

More than 90,000 visitors will tour the decorations at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue this holiday season, which now boasts a huge 18-foot-6-inch Fraser fir in the Blue Room and a giant topiary of the Obama family dog Bo made out of 20,000 black and white pom-poms.
Other highlights include the annual White House gingerbread house, which weighs in at an impressive 300 pounds. “It even includes chandeliers that light up,” the first lady bragged. “It glows. Like Rudolph’s nose, right.”

Notice how green, these are not cut trees but live trees in pots, which will then get planted in some forest afterwards in an attempt to mitigate global warming.
I wish this were the stupidest thing the Obamas had ever done in their lives.

Silly liberals...Trees are big vegetables. Cut them down, harvest, replant and you have a new crop to be cut down and harvested when they are the desired size.
Those two trees in front of the White House are beautiful. I am glad that at least at Christmas, they can still spruce the place up even with the Obamas.
Since the beginning of time. I am glad that they do this though. It is a spectacular look for the visitors who go through the White House during the next month. I was lucky enough to see the displays back in 1996.....it is extraordinary.

They probably just have male/male or female/female “wedding” cake figures in place of the angels at the top of the trees. They will probably have Beatrice Miller’s “two moms” be honorary guests to make up for her being finally and mercifully kicked off American Idol. Because America discriminated against her because we all know she got the thumbs down not because she kept hitting sour notes and constantly looked like someone was going to beat her to death if she didn’t “win.”

Surrounded by all that Christmas spirit & beauty yet they spend the “holiday” in Hawaii. Go figure.
