WASHINGTONAmbassador Susan Rice's attempt to repair her standing with Senate Republicans fell short Tuesday, as a trio of GOP senators emerged from a meeting with her even more harshly critical of the comments she made following the U.S. consulate attack in Libya.
One of the senators, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, said she would try to block the confirmation of Ms. Rice or another nominee to succeed departing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. "My view is we should hold on this until we get sufficient information," she said.

fyi
Time will tell, Republican “senators.”
Your words have the believability of an Obamadork birth certificate.
GOOD. Rice is a beast.
Ms Rice: Strange photo’s in your post . . . The vacant, somnambulistic 1000 yard, creepy eyed blank stare of the committed thorazine addict so typical of the Obama gang of lesbians
defacto President John F. Kerry.
I am confused by the title, block ‘any’ sucessor?
So how will the new senate rules work? If all the pubbies vote no and all the rats vote yes, she’s in, right?
I think what happened here is that she was supposed to go in there, say a few of the right things, and play the DC game. Then they would come out and say how they still have a few reservations, but that she “addressed many of their concerns”.
This woman is dumb as a box of rocks. She has riden a wave of family connections and race to levels she has no business in. She also has a reputation as being hardheaded when wrong. Thats a great combo, stupid AND hardheaded.
Her wiki,
“She has had a most extraordinary career. With only 18 months’ experience in the workplace as a consultant for McKinsey, she was given senior jobs at the National Security Council from 1993 to 1997; first as Director for International Organizations and Peacekeeping from 1993 to 1995 and then, with only three and a half years working after getting her degree from Oxford and having never worked in Africa or had any prior work experience on the continent, she was promoted to become Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for African Affairs from 1995 to 1997. Previous occupants of that position had been officials with long experience in Africa such as Ambassador Hank Cohen and Ambassador David Miller, both of whom came to the job with decades of experience.”
She was also the central player in stopping Sudans attempt to give us Osama Bin Laden in ‘96.
I think she got in there, and was so obviously incompetent and dishonest, that even our rino aisle crossing Senators couldnt support her.
Since when does the senate have any say in Obama’s appointments? Hussein will ignore the senate, knowing Republicans are too gutless to say anything about it!
Filibuster
you said “or” yet you post it as fact...what gives
If I remember correctly and Senator can put a hold on her too
Here’s how stupid and incompetent she is. Even though she’s a black, female, leftist, democrat, she still can’t even find a way to make her wiki page into a puff piece like most democrats easily do.
LOL
Thats usually an easy fix for a dem.
Stand by for her recess appointment- Just watch the dictator do it.
Sen. Ayotte hasn’t seen Obama’s Certificate of Loss of Nationality. I have.
Sen. Ayotte has put the pieces of the puzzle together and figured out Obama is either a naturalized U.S. Citizen or not a U.S. Citizen. She wants Hillary to stay put and answer a few simple questions on Obama’s passport record and explain why she didn’t come forward with the incriminating evidence 4 years ago.
Hillary wants to retire to private life immediately.
Yes, filibuster, but Dingy Harry changed the filibuster rules recently.
Ayotte seems to imply she won’t cooperate with ANY nomination until they get more info on Benghazi.
We have entered the time period that future historians will refer to ... ‘as the tyranny of the unqualified socially promoted’...
I don’t think this has happened yet.
