The very name “conservative” is a liability. “Conservative” connotes old, old-fashioned, stodgy, boring, unimaginative, bland, drab, no fun, out-of-date, etc.,etc. The very image is a big negative.

Unfortunately the word conservative has become a negative in a lot of minds.

Liberals started calling themselves progressives when liberal became a dirty word, what should we rebrand conservatives as?

Hint: Not Inclusives.

I agree with you about the modern conservative image. But that's why we need to get back to the attitudes of the 1980s when conservatism was FUN. It was snarky, irreverent, pro-tobacco, pro-booze, virulently opposed to health nazis. And all the girl-conservatives (as they continue to be today) were hot.
