The NH GOP fared poorly downballot. The only thing they managed to keep was a paltry 2-seat majority in the State Senate (and the Dems dropped to just 5 of 24 seats in 2010, and have since gone back up to 11). The GOP lost the Executive Council (going from 5R-Zip to 3D-2R) and they also lost the House, too. I can’t really speak to many of those holding office and their potential. From what I heard of the (outgoing) GOP House Speaker William O’Brien from some other FReeper, he’s not much to write home about.

Six....count them, 6 NH state senators retired in 2012. There’s no way the state GOP should have allowed this. The NHGOP should have 15 or 16 senate seats if these 6 did not take a walk.
