[Rep. Tom] Cole: Join with Obama on quick deal (RINO wants higher taxes on rich)
Politico ^ | 11/27/2012 | Jonathan Allen

Republican Rep. Tom Cole urged colleagues in a private session Tuesday to vote to extend the Bush tax rates for all but the highest earners before the end of the year — and to battle over the rest later.

The Oklahoma Republican said in an interview with POLITICO that he believes such a vote would not violate Grover Norquist’s anti-tax pledge and that he’s not alone within Republican circles.

Why can’t we do “the rest” firts and battle over the tax hike later?

Rinos need another one of those massive, quick and dirty 3,000 page “emergency bills”, that no one reads until after the damage is done.

This is what they were doing before the Tea Party rose up and slapped them across the chops. They are now joining the Dem Party media in pretending the Tea Party is gone and they can resume teasonous business with Obamacommie, as usual.

It’s time for the Rinos to screw the heck out of America, again. Look out!

Dream: Extend all the tax cuts and re-pass Paul Ryan’s budget - this avoids the sequestration cuts. Then go home and let the other side present a counter-plan.

Reality: Obama-Boehner already have cut a deal. If not, there will not be one, and Repubs get blamed for Depression.

Conservatives should fight the good conservative fight, but vote present when forced to register their vote...

no other way the dems and RINOs can be blamed cleanly for the mess they continue to hand us.

An interesting point was raised about this issue on Hannity tonight:

When are the Dems going to offer some kind of economic plan?

So far, all we hear is how the GOP needs to compromise on the issue of tax hikes on the rich. Over and over again. But nothing else. No talk of entitlement reform, tax code changes, cuts in anything, etc.

Obummer keeps calling for the “millionaires and billionaires to pay a little bit more,” so let’s give him a 5% rate increase, then scream, “You made us break our promise not to raise taxes! Now what are YOU going to bring to the table?”

pubs look like idiots if they refuse to raise taxes on the rich just on principle....

we have to start being a little more intune with the American people, who feel overly taxed, overly worked, those who pay taxes and work anyway....

why are we quibbling over whether the ilk like Buffoon have to pay a little more?...that is not the mountain we need to die on...

instead, okay the raise in taxes for the richest and keep the taxes at the same level for the rest...sweeten the pot by demanding some decrease in expenditures....

but we don't want the image that pubs represent the rich only....

How about refusing to raise taxes on anybody (not just the rich) -- just on principle -- because it will cost jobs?

The Dims have no principles and the RINOS make claims that breaking their promises/principles is really sticking to them.

You know I almost think we should let the rich get what they deserve and stop carrying water for them. If they can't get off their own asses and work for conservative causes then screw them. Where were rich conservatives in backing a conservative nominee that could have unseated Obama? Why are so many corporate leaders silent and just take it when they are attacked again and again by the Obama Administration? And let's remember many rich are actually rich liberals - lawyers, show business, ect. Let's see how much they like the new normal under Obama.
