Graham is really getting pissed on around here when he’s been a pit bull regarding Bengazi. Go to any left wing thread and they hate his guts for what he’s doing. Not sure why so many Freepers knickers are in a twist over this. It’s like the want Obama to get off Scott free.

IMHO...

The 3 amigos have lame histories of professional politicians, so folks around here, being very conservative, take this for what it is.

And what it is, is (lol), 3 amigos trying to get some street cred with the conservative base on an issue that's purely a question of wrongdoing. The left understands it's just politics, as opposed to the 3 amigos publicly opposing, say, abortion, or gun control, which they can't do because they're "centrists". So the amigos are cashing in on attracting a few conservative votes next time by being the ones to step forward and handle this. It wouldn't gain the Republicans much to send Jim DeMint on this since he's already got a large and loyal conservative following.

The telltale sign is that they won't go for the jugular and insist upon an answer to the single question: "why did POTUS not grant the cross-border authorization for rescue attempt by the military" ?

Instead, they ask many questions. This gives room for many responses. In all the talk, people lose track of what's important.

The longer it drags on, of course, the more the 3 amigos need to have something to show for their efforts.

Otherwise, in retrospect, it will look to be not too bright on their part.

The more significant the results, the better for them. It's like gambling and continually upping the ante. You either get a big win or a big loss.

They're more like 3 poodles than 3 pit bulls, IMHO. But you never know, poodles are smart and I've seen them play some pretty nasty mental games with people they don't like when they have a mind to.

By the way, many in Congress are very aware, some newbies perhaps only aware, that there is a massive conspiracy-type "situation" that has gotten completely out of hand, regarding basically the entire government being overrun with New Left and islamists, new world order intentional crash of the U.S. economy, taxpayer dollars funding radical islam, etc.

Few if any in Congress want that to make it to TV news, which maintains an effective blackout on the subject, and anyone who talks about it is handed a tinfoil hat.

The real reason why Obama did not give the authorization has to do with outside influences on government that affect his decision-making, which, of course, gets into impeachable territory that the outside influences do not want to get into. This can be deduced from the fact that there is no plausible reason for POTUS to not give the authorization to save his own Ambassador who by all accounts was loyal to the New Left cause. The outside influences have enormous influence over Congress as well, so getting the Senate to convict would be impossible without off-the-charts damning evidence.

With the White House senior staff all street smart enough to stay clammed up, and the Justice Department blatantly ignoring Congress and duty, Congress really can't do much but keep digging and hope that someone well-placed squeels with a smoking gun. We would then have to hope that someone in Congress would be willing to go on the adventure, and the public fallout could be reasonably managed. The news media is nuts enough, of course, to inflame the public on purpose if the Sleeper POTUS is impeached and convicted.

You make a good point about not wanting the job. It’s tough being a Republican with the Dems lying about everything and the media jackals nipping at your heels. Not many decent people are willing to endure working in a snake pit like Washington DC so you’re right — they do deserve a certain amount of gratitude for making the effort to keep this story alive.

But I do think it would be an easier road for Repbulicans if they were unapologetically aggressive and stuck together more often. They just seem to have a knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Lindsey’s the go-to guy when Democrats need a Republican to show outrage and accomplish nothing.

Unapologetically aggressive means you cannot have a single flaw that the media/Dems can exploit and/or ridicule.

None of us live that kind of life.

Personally, I see a fair amount of sticking together in the GOP caucus. Now, the relationship between "Tea Party Grassroots" and "RINO Politician"...that's another story...and that's one that the MSM exploits constantly.

It is too bad the Repbulicans can’t be as upstet about “crap” spending programs and waste in government as they are about Bengazi. If we took 100 billion of waste from the various departments and cleaned out a little of the waste in the DOD, maybe folks would have some FOCUS on real issues and we would not have radicals killing at FT Hood or Bengazi!! /rant will never stop over waste in government

What’s needed is TEA parties all over Texas focusing on Benghazi. He might be content to be their go-to guy, but not when his own seat might be in jeopardy. Then he’ll have to be the guy to do something, and make it stick.

Actually, the nicer you re to Muslims, the more they demand, the easier they flare up, and the harder it is to appease them. What they need is frequent doses of whoop-ass.

Oh, barefoot boy with cheeks of tan,
One day you’ll be a barefoot man.
Your elders, all out on a spree
Are squandering posterity.

No, it simply means that Republicans have to be unified and on the offensive all the time. Look, after all these years one thing is perfectly clear: the libs and MSM are going to attack no matter what you say so what is there to lose by going into attack mode? The media/Dems will lie, falsify, twist words and take you out of context and demonize your every utterance, flawed or not. Republicans are passive and too conciliatory. You don’t score points by always playing defense.

I have gruding admiration fot the Democrats in one respect. They are vicious infighters who play to win. We need to fight harder than they do.
