Everybody wants a Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas, so why not get a real gun when youre an adult?
If there was one place in America where you could expect to see photos of people posing with Santa Claus and their AK-47′s, it would be Scottsdale, Arizona, home of the countrys largest indoor gun range.
This morning, Fox & Friends invited Scottsdale Gun Club general manager Ron Kennedy to defend the organizations controversial practice of having members pose with Santa and their guns.
Gretchen Carlson questioned the appropriateness of these types of images in Arizona in light of last years Gabrielle Giffords shooting, which caused Kennedy to launch into his standard speech on safety without addressing the larger implications.

Full disclosure: I am related to the owner of the Scottsdale Gun Club, and have been credited with having had some positive influence in its creation.
Who made it controversial? Some bed wetting pantywaist?
The Home Depot had a Christmas lawn decoration of a hunting Santa in a deer stand. They pulled it from the shelves after the Black Friday weekend due to complaints from shoppers.
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
Sarah and Limbaugh and big Viking kittens.
AKs and ARs and metal that rings,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Sgt. Mary Poppins
In all fairness, Americans can sometimes make the most bizarre and downright kooky Christmas greetings.

They could go to a nudist colony and see naked kids sit on naked Santa’s lap... but that wouldn’t be controversial at all.
Things sure have changed in this country since I was born in 1960, that’s for sure. I went deer hunting with my uncle and cousins in the Everglades at 8 years old.
Are those in the bet wetting crowd on record criticizing the photos of the children of PLO and Hamas goons posing with AK’s, or the kids of US gang bangers posing with Daddy’s 9? Or the DNC’s nonstop suggestions of using guns against Republicans?
Didn’t think so.
yep... they are selectively outraged where ever it is politically convenient
(There's no way you could fit a magazine into that narrow, cylindrical grip...)
That year, and for years afterward, some of my favorite Christmas presents were boxes of ammunition for it.

(The above is "controversial" -- only in liberals' bed-wetting dreams...)
Please ...
It was (the musical version of) Maria von Trapp.
And if you knew anything at all about the real-world CAPTAIN von Trapp ... it's even funnier, because it fits so well.
