Say again, neutral.
As Ronald Reagan might say, there he went again.
What was Jeb Bush neutral about?
The choice between liberal Charlie Crist and conservative Marco Rubio for the Republican nomination for United States Senator from Florida.
Oh, he finally came around. After then-Governor Crist endorsed the Obama stimulus, this was a bridge too far even for former Governor Bush.

Let's not forget he's the son GHW and Barb thought would be president one day, not W.
I'm not a fan of dynastic politics but if he wants to run in the primary, I wouldn't discourage him. Odds are he would not earn my support.
Sure he would get favorable or neutral coverage, unless/until he is actually elected- then they will pile on him daily just as they did the last President Bush.
Trivial?
Bush the Elder squandered the Reagan legacy in one term.
George W. left the GOP a smoking ruin, only to be brought back by the Tea Party, not the GOP-e.
And the GOP-e wants a third episode?
And don't even get me started on the inherent problems to republican government that family dynasties have created. Name-brand politics has squelched too many potential new voices out there.
Excellent comment.
Thank you.
neutral = no core convictions
Tell us all the ways in which you agree with what Ubama did.
NO MORE BUSHES PERIOD.
Actually, it’s more likely they will push George H Bush.
He is handsome, articulate and speaks Spanish.
I said I can understand why someone wouldn’t want to vote for another Bush.
But “forget about his governorship”? That is silly.
Romney was ripped by conservatives ON THE BASIS of his governorship....
So now we are called to IGNORE a guy’s record? Please.
“That is why we keep getting RINO candidates, the choice is made for us before we even get to vote in the primary.”
You are correct.
I live in NYS. “Jeb” does not need my vote.
Stay out Da Bushes!
Those that run the Republican Party are idiots. Can’t they find better candidates than McCain and Romney. First of all - you aren’t going to get many Democrats or Independants to vote for another Bush - ain’t gonna happen.
What the party needs to do is focus on the new Republicans - Cantor, Ryan, Rubio, Rand Paul and Jindal to name a few. The party needs to also focus on a youth movement - it seems that Republicans are the party of the “Old”. Lets get some new faces into play and instead of trying to figure out “what went wrong” try to figure out - what went right and build on that. Start today building a future.
All of these milqetoast types need to go.
Like he speaks Mandarin. Good grief. You dont know Spanish or you would know he does not speak the language. It was all a fools game for people like you.
You misunderstood me. I don’t care whether or not Jeb was a good governor or not in context — if he was a good governor then good for him and FL but in the larger sense that still means squat when talking about the presidency — he is a RINO and a progressive much like his family and this country doesn’t need that now. Chris Christie is fine for NJ but no one out her really wants him to be President either
Insane!
2000: George is not his father. He’s really a conservative. Trust us you will be pleased with him.
2012: Jeb is not George. He’s really a conservative.
Trust us, you will be pleased with him.
Retch! Heave! Hurl! Bleahh! Arghhh!
I mean, the Bushes are decent & honorable, but that don’t cut it in the age of Obama, enough’s enough!
“I see Bush/Rubio as the ticket,”
You can’t be serious.
Just how many times has a party every nominated both on the ticket from the same state?
Political suicide.
