Nope. IF jebbie runs, he will win because that’s the way daddy and his adopted son, billy, want it.
When the MSM start pushing names of the opposition, one can only surmise who they want to run against.
Looks like Jeb B gets the first nod. After all, according to the Chicago Trib article, he was soooooooooo bipartisan with his education stuff.
==
Of course, the Trib also knows that, based on exit polls, over 1/2 of the voters still blame brother George BUSH for the bad economy.
What a dream for the Dems — another BUSH to run against.
==
Let Jeb run and get it out of his system. I doubt he would make it half way through the primaries. The BUSH name has tainted politics for the next 50 years. The GOPe and Dems/MSM might be dancing in the streets at the likelihood of Jeb on the ticket, but the voters won’t be. Jeb = Another GOP Loss.
Promoting a third man named Bush as the next President says we’re no longer a democracy but an aristocracy - that we’re no longer considering millions of candidates from among the citizenship but only those from a narrow elite. Kennedy, Bush, Clinton and maybe a few other families “rule”.
[Jeb Bush soared to rock star status in the education world...]
At least, IF he became president, he couldn’t hand ‘education reform’ over to Ted Kennedy.
Of course, there are many socialists he could pick from who would be happy to participate.
Hey, I’m open to suggestions, but my point was if there is reason to know, or believe, that Hillary runs in ‘16, our nominee had better have some meat on the bones, in more ways than one. Follow the money.
Frankly, I believe the Jeb Bush thing may be a smoke screen to signal to and discourage Hillary, give her pause to think about it, whether she really wants another grinding campaign.
If she really wants to roll out the Clinton machine again, there will be war. We would not put up some mouthy freshman charismatic for her to roll over, but would drag out the Bush machine and go nuclear on her, right back.
Perception is often reality.
IMO we’d have a better shot witu a mouthy freshman charismatic than with another Bush.
I’m with you totally—education is not a federal function.
