If you are going to keep blaming Reagan for having those two guards not keep their magazines in their rifles, and make those two guards the reason for the Marines allowing their base to be blown up, by a single guy in a truck, then I want to see some proof.

The Marines were ORDERED to go in soft. What don’t you understand? Babysitting was the compromise Reagan DECIDED upon between the Shultz/Weinberger infighting. Any ROE was rubber stamped from on high, Chain of Command, Presidents are ultimately responsible for that, part of their job requirement and should not be taken for granted.
