POLITICAL SUICIDE, ANYONE? (IT WAS NOT THE HISPANIC VOTE THAT DEFEATED ROMNEY)

In an article referenced by Scott earlier today, Byron York shows that Mitt Romney did not lose the election because of his failure to win the Hispanic vote. Romnwy would have lost in Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, Iowa, and New Hampshire even if he had gained a large portion of the Hispanic votes in these key battleground states.
York also demonstrates that, as we have argued, Hispanics are not a natural Republican constituency. If anything, they are natural Democrats for reasons unrelated to the immigration issue. Exit poll information suggests that Hispanics based their votes on a number of issues beyond illegal immigration, and those issues favored Democrats. A majority of Hispanics who voted this Election Day favored keeping Obamacare, higher taxes for higher earners, and (by 2 to 1) keeping abortion legal.
This brings me to the question of immigration reform. Such legislation is best evaluated on its merits, rather than on its politics. However, to the extent Republican legislators undertake a political analysis, it should weigh heavily against a vote for any package that provides a path to citizenship for illegal aliens, including the children of those who are here illegally.
The Hispanic vote wasnt decisive in states like Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, Iowa and New Hampshire because, although it favored Obama big-time, it wasnt a large portion of the vote. The kind of immigration reform pushed by Democrats would tend to change this.
Moreover, because Hispanics favor Democratic positions on a wide range of big issues having nothing to do with immigration, supporting liberal immigration reform will not win many Hispanic votes. Given these realities, I see no political case, from a Republican point of view, for supporting a path to citizenship for illegal aliens. To contrary, supporting such reform looks something like an act of political suicide.

The same polls that were off by 5 and 7 percent, respectively.
Those polls were not off.
Those polls very likely reflected how the people felt, but, those polls have no way of accounting for voter fraud, which is how Obama won.

Romney failed to change the morally relative culture and to reeducate the brainwashed into realizing that voting is for the good of the country (preservation of the Constitution) or there will BE no country to pay for all of those votes the Dems are selling (the GOP too).
How could he have done so?
He couldn’t have.
Candy Crowley, the other “Moderators” the GOP allowed, Soros’ vote counting machines, Republican governor backstabbing on the world stage, selfish, fat&comfy electorate are all too much for one person to overcome. Romney was not a perfect candidate but no one is going to be better.
It’ll be about the electorate in the end, as history will see it. Give away birth contro an dabortions.
We’re going to look like the evil Mayans. What civilization in history, going back to the time of Homer and the ancient Greece, killed millions of innocents on a yealy basis?
We need to let go of Romney.

I know lots of people who sympathize with the Tea Party but usually have “other things to do” when it comes time to showing up for rallies. Too comfy to spend a couple of hours away from their golf game. Sunshine patriots and fair weather voters basically.

Yes, they were off, by 5 and 7 points respectively.
“accounting for voter fraud, which is how Obama won.”
Nope. Obama won because he earned more votes than Mitt Romney.

All this talk of why Romney lost is BS! He lost because he couldn’t even get the votes that Juan McAmnesty got in 2008. The conservatives who sat home instead of voting for Romney elected the marxist again. That is fact. No need in blaming anyone else. Romney could not excite the base. He lost.
Move on. Nothing to see here. The same thing will happen again in four years if another democrat light runs against Hillary Clinton. For my two cents the only republican that can win is Scott Walker. Forget the RINO Bushes, RINO Christie. The republicans had better run a conservative or they are done as party. McAmnesty and Willard should be proof enough.

You are right. And voter fraud is one way of getting more votes than the other guy.
Another way that Obama got more votes, is through what Romney accused Obama and the democrats of doing. When the democrats and Obama promise to give their voters a lot of "free" stuff from government (at the expense of the productive members of society), then, the 47% would, of course, go for the "freebies". Nobody can compete against "free".

Now that is a pretty unique concept.
With all our “proud tradition” of ethnic diversity, every cultural group is now looking out for itself and the overall interest of the country may be least on their minds.
Then there are the interests of the producers and the non-producers, the latter rapidly outbreeding the former and, as a result, also outvoting them.

It would be nice if anyone cared what is best for America. Some of us voted "for love of country."

Youre still not getting it. I said he EARNED more votes than Romney.
And, YOU are still not getting it.
If you call "voter fraud" a means towards "earning" the election, then, you are right. But, voter fraud is neither ethical nor moral, and not even legal, but, Obama and the democrats did all of that.
Now, it is possible to "earn" something by working hard to get it, even if it's illegal. Just like someone who breaks into a home to steal, has "earned" whatever he got from that effort.

The other side has its "fossils" too, so, why should ours have to be the ones that go?

Mexican illegal aliens don’t even want to be citizens. They just want to take what they can out of the US.

And you’re still not getting it either.
He earned enough votes to defeat Romney. It wasn’t particularly close either.
Was there some fraud? Sure. Does it overshadow his margin of victory? No.
The sooner you understand this fact - the sooner reality will come to you.
