I agree.

Thanks for taking the time to reply in the debate that we are having on this thread.

It would be great if there were just a few things that we could change in the coming Campaign for the election of 2014 to make our efforts successful.

IMHO, the Conservative Base has embraced to many topics that to make an effective change in our fortunes at the ballot box will be nearly impossible without dropping many of the Social Topics.

Let us examine the RINO Base support for the Federal Republicans In Name Only, or FRINOs.

While getting back to basics may be the most important goal, we first must cause the RINO supporters to question the wisdom of their continual blind support of their RINOs BEFORE we can get them interested in getting back to basics.

RINOs, and the Conservatives who support the RINOs will soon be easily led to accept the Media explanation of why Republicans lost in the last election.

IOW The Media will try to convince them to be more like the Democrats. If they take the bait, the RINOs will lose again in 2014 and 2016.

My intent is to explore some ideas that the Media will never bring up, have debates here on FR and build a Conservative Think Tank Base here on FR that will motivate us to action that will reverse the RINO disasters of the recent past.

One such idea that the Liberal Agenda Media Elite, or LAME, will never mention is the fundamental difference between government and Business.

In Business, the main concern is profitability, and the imposition of a rigorous profit and loss disciple on all aspects of that business.

In the Federal Government, profit and loss are rarely considered, and when considered, usually ignored.

In government, the Federal Politician’s main concerns center around using their definition of ‘Bipartisam Compromise’ to achieve their primary goal of being re-elected.

A “BiPartisan Compromise” to a Democrat means NEVER give up any move to the Left concession agreed to by the Right, and if possible do not do what the Democrats promised to do in the Compromise.

For nearly 80 years now, the Democrats have demanded two steps to the Left, “Compromised” by agreeing to taking one step to the Right, which then gave them a net one step to the Left EVERY TIME that a ‘BiPartisan Compromise’ was made.

Thus, the US Federal Government has steadily moved always to the Left and with few exceptions almost always with a substantial financial loss.

The supporters of the RINOs have usually been very grateful to their Heros, the RINOs, for not allowing the Democrats to get all that they had at first demanded.

Thus, the RINOs get re-elected for doing a ‘good’ job, and the RINOs have job security for life.

Hence, we Conservatives must convince the RINO supporters to at least question their support of their RINOs.

_____________

IMHO, people tend to accept the first explanation that captures their imagination.

Let us here on FR present explanations that will capture the imagination of those FReepers that will lead the future Conservative Base to repeated Election Victories.

________

BTW Lurkers, y’all have lurked long enough!

Time to join FR and help form the Strong Conservative Base that America will need in the years ahead!

(Whistling a Sousa March while you join FR is optional).

Correction: Line 12: “disciple” corrected to “discipline.”
