The talk has already started about a possible 2016 presidential bid by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, but before that happens friends say hell be busy rebuilding his personal wealth and restoring his familys relationship with the Republican Party.
If he decides to seek the GOP nomination, it could put a damper on any plans by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio to run in four years, according to The New York Times.
After this years loss to President Barack Obama, Republicans are looking for a candidate who can appeal to a different voter demographic thats no longer dominated by white men and women. Many Republicans believe that Bush fits the bill as someone who can attract Hispanics and other minorities without sacrificing his conservative values.

(The Gop-e are nuts! HAHAHA! to tears)
This practice of fielding RINOs at the top of the ticket is a drag on the down-ticket races.
The RNC has to face the reality the White House is now out of reach... demography, an entitlement mentality and secularist social attitudes have caused this country`s drift to the left. This isn`t to say it shouldn`t bother to nominate a candidate, but mission of that “nominee” must be to light up the base and give voice to conservatives in winnable congressional and gubernatorial contests.
GOP is dead, a party of zombie voters.
He is liberal
No F-ing way,
See ya Republican party, time for me to find a true conservative party.
Jeb Bush is NO conservative and neither was his father or brother and neither is the republican party which is little more than dem lite.
The GOP............. hopelessy stupid! Either we clean these RINOS out or it’s New party new blood
Time to bring my toaster back into the mix as a potential candidate - it will probably have more brain power than the next field combined and it will be a lot more benevolent to the Constitution.

How do you alter or abolish it when your choices is Obama or McCain? Obama or Romney? Bush and Clinton? and so on and so on?
Nope.
I'm not so sure about that. He takes David Gregory's lunch money every time he's on his show.
Jeb Bush wouldn’t stand a chance against Obama in 2016.
If there is a meaningful election in 2016, you could knock me over with a feather. Sometime bbetween now and 2016, I expect some Democrat to start making noises about allowing obama to run for a third term or obama to declare himself Presuident for life. At my age, I do not expect to be around by then. But if that does not transpire, It won;t change anything because the Democrats have perfected the method to steal elections and any Republican elected will be with their permission.
“Jeb Bush refused to rescue Terri Schiavo, allowing her to be murdered in broad daylight. I will never forgive or forget.”
Agreed. I really got flamed awhile back for the very same position. Go figure.
That talk should end 2012.

Oh my gosh...does it ever end?
I am awake and I smell the coffee.
Romney won because the GOPE systematically destroyed every other candidate and ensure Romney would be the last man standing.
Did you not noticed how one after another, only weeks apart, was taken down? They did exactly what the demonrats do.
This is a problem with the GOPE party. And until that root cause is fixed, they will continue to destroy TEA Party candidates and other true conservatives and ensure we have only RINOs to vote for. They are confident that we will hold our noses and vote for the lesser of two evils.
We need to break the back of the current corrupt political system.
I will NEVER vote the lesser of two evils again. I will never put my support behind RINO republicans again.
If we are to lose, I will have my vote for the most conservative candidate. Bush = McCain = Romney = Clinton
If we keep fishing from the same ol pond, were gonna keep catchin the same ol big mouth bass.
These people have set themselves up as royalty. They dot consider themselves elected servants of the people. They become humble for a few weeks during election cycles...playing the American people like a guitar string.
Our government was NEVER meant to look like this. We the people put our trust in corrupt political parties.
This government has essentially become an oligarchy, where the few wealthy/powerful lord over the common class. We struggle and scrap out a living all the while republicans and democrats live opulent lifestyles of perk and privilege.
Let the fun begin.
You seem to neglect the fact that Jim declared his truce long after Romney wrapped up the nomination and FReepers who previously had supported ABR candidates were now getting behind the eventual nominee - basically in ABO mode. During the primary, there was very little support for Romney on FR.
I knew it. They are either going to jam Rubio or Bush down our throats. Rand Paul wants to run and all of us conservatives should rally round or we will be watching a rerun of Nov 6th.
