Still waiting to see if you know what killed Hostess and how it affects your insular view of the world.

I have no idea what killed Hostess but I have what I think is an accurate assessment...

Besides Hostess spending millions upon millions in bonuses to upper management, I suspect its the cost of their products, lack of sales...

Hostess' main competitor is Little Debbie...Little Debbie products are far cheaper...Hostess is a far better product...

As millions of people are losing their jobs to China, they are giving up quality (Hostess) for quantity (Little Debbie)...

What is funny tho is that now, Little Debbie's prices are beginning to skyrocket...

So what's your take on it???

I hate to say it, but Hostess’ main product line was stuck in 1962. Foamy white bread, shlocky pastries, not the sort of thing that’s popular these days. Plus supermarket brands were outpricing Hostess for essentially the same items. Beefsteak bread was good, but not irreplaceable. As for the twinky, I think LBJ was President the last time I ate one.
