I also thought immediately of the men marching in a furnace, when she talked about the killing of infidels. (Dan 3: 16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majestys hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.")
But setting aside those (and a few more) comments, I think we are heading for a Final Judgment. Will it mean the end of the World? I have no idea. Should we be ready? Absolutely! Prepping may be a thoughtful thing, but as followers of Christ, we should pay attention to all His words.
As a Christian, I believe Him. As a Boy Scout, I learned the motto, "Be Prepared"... so I am!
Matthew 6: 25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe youyou of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we wear? 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. ...

Because she is saying what we are all thinking?
Becausee what she says is both dire and undoubtedly TRUE.
"Friends, if I advance, follow me!
If I retreat, kill me!
If I die, avenge me!"

I must have missed that part of Christ's missive where he excepted our right to pick and choose Caesar's regulations. I seem to remember that Caesar was CRUCIFYING PEOPLE! Jesus placed no qualifiers, only the requirement to "render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's"...
I appreciate her zeal and knowledge, but doubt she would willingly walk into the fire. As the saying goes, "talk is cheap"! Jesus was God walking on Earth. We are weak kneed humans. Peter heard the cock crow, and was ashamed!!!
Which reminds me that we are having a FReepathon, so DONATE TO FreeRepublic TODAY. I repeat, "talk is cheap", and posting on FreeRepublic is a privilege, not a right. I think everybody needs to render unto Jim and John to keep us afloat and growing. This is the Premier site for likeminded conservative Christians!
What do you mean ‘talk is cheap’? She IS putting her money where her mouth is. She IS doing a tax strike.
I sent you a reply, but for some reason, it did not pass the review!
She may have gone on strike, but the IRS will get everything she owns and leave her at the bottom of the heap. It's her choice, but it is not a "Christian" scripturally-based thing, imho. Think of the relationship of Twinkies and bakers...
Thank you and VideoDoctor for this thread and the link to her presentation.
Although is it long, about 2 1/2 hours, it is highly informative and well worth watching every minute. A real eye-opener.
Yes, he did say “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s...’ but here’s the problem...Caesar is taking that which is NOT HIS. The choice to participate in abortion is an individual choice, but in the name of the State, Obama has dictated that we will support that activity. Therefore, under the Scripture, Caesar is not due that subsidy, because it is not Caesar’s.
I watched all eight videos at the recommendation of VD (sorry) and was yelled at for spending Thanksgiving morning on the computer, but I am thankful that I did.
Unfortunately, it changed me and my perspective toward a lot of things and it made it extremely hard to come back here and read arguments about how we have to attract a higher percentage of Hispanic voters. Bah, Humbug.
As a Christian, it is my obligation to "give unto Caesar". I also reject abortion and a myriad of other details of modern society, but we must remember our primary task. "Go into ALL the world and spread the Gospel (Good News)". Our war is not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities...
I am thankful for the Word, as it is OUR guide... and these words from James speaks volumes!
James 5: Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lords coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. 8 You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lords coming is near. 9 Dont grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!
10 Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11 As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Jobs perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
12 Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swearnot by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple Yes or No. Otherwise you will be condemned.
13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

And Wells Fargo charged her $100 for the “service”
Unbelievable.
Love Ann Barnhardt
We can CONSENT to pay taxes in a spirit of truth, justice, solidarity and freedom, but only if those four specific ends are served by our taxes. Are we going to be held to account for subsidizing abortion?
What if paying taxes puts you in violation of the First Commandment (I AM the LORD thy God; thou shalt not have strange gods before me.)?
"Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's" is NOT a release from the First Commandment.
Don't you think that, by forcing you to break God's Law in order to follow the laws of the state, the Obama régime forces you to choose between Caesar and Christ? Or is this a false dichotomy?
YOU [EDITED] WORSHIP THE I.R.S. ABOVE GOD. YOU FEAR THE I.R.S., BUT DO NOT FEAR GOD, HIS JUDGEMENT OR HIS WRATH IN THE SLIGHTEST. And you call yourselves Christian? Really?-- Ann Barnhardt
If you agree that the Obama Régime is utterly lawless, why would you still consent to pay taxes? Why would you continue subsidizing it? Is it that you feel you owe Caesar something?
Earlier this week, Ann talked about her tax strike with BigFurHat.
And yesterday, she RESPONDED to a few comments of the iOwnTheWorld thread:
part 2, Part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6.
Im going to Rome to face down Caesar Obama and be crucified with Our Lord who already has and will have the Final Victory.
We need a Christ today Who will make cords and drive the buyers and sellers from our new temples; Who will blast the unfruitful fig-trees; Who will talk of crosses and sacrifices and Whose voice will be like the voice of the raging sea. But He will not allow us to pick and choose among His words, discarding the hard ones, and accepting the ones that please our fancy. We need a Christ Who will restore moral indignation, Who will make us hate evil with a passionate intensity, and love goodness to a point where we can drink death like water.-Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen "Life of Christ", AD 1958
You want to know how I spent MY Black Friday morning?
I listened to her entire lecture on Youtube.
She is 100% Right on!
Maybe I missed something in Scripture, but WE ALREADY HAVE THAT CHRIST! THERE CAN BE NO OTHER! This is just more mumbo-jumbo that the Roman Catholic Church perpetuates. They still have Him on their crosses, and pray to His mother to reach His ear. He is risen! There is no other mediator than Christ!
I'll just give you some Scriptures in further reply. Study John chapters. 14 & 17, and I will close with some of Paul's words to the Roman church:
Romans 8: 31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us allhow will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who diedmore than that, who was raised to lifeis at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
