Jim...I thought FR was supposed to be Pro-God? This cannot be so when persons like “sakic” can attack people of pure Christian faith as “morons” because they don’t look at “science” from a purely naturalistic viewpoint. He has put his materialistic science ahead of God’s revealed word.
So, IF Free Republic is going to continue to claim that it is “Pro-God”...then those that attack those that are “Pro-God” need to experience the zot...or a warning that one is imminent. The GOP and conservatism cannot work if those openly atagonistic towards social conservatives are allowed to spew that anti Conservative Christianity venom on Free Republic. It truly has no place here....IF you want to spread the FULL spectrum of conservatism which is balanced Social, Fiscal, and National Security. It has to end.
Of course the flip side is also true, that persons of faith should not be allowed to call those like “sakic” a godless fool....that is not any better.
Whatever, that is my thinking. Is there something you can do about this?
I believe in God and I believe in science. But science does not disprove or displace God. Science is one of God’s greatest creations. God is our greatest scientist. Helluva mathematician, engineer, chemist, designer, planner, programmer, artist, philosopher, writer, healer, too. He undoubtedly knows a lot about planets, gravity, weather, etc. He created all the theories scientists love to wrestle with but cannot solve. And He alone knows the absolute truth of each and every one.
By the way, He also created gravity. Didn’t want those down under to fall off the planet.

I merely stated that I believe in science, too. People who believe they are mutually exclusive are not dealing in reality.
God gave us brains. The idea that we should not use them seems anti-Conservative to me.
