Petitons, complaints and bad press don't mean squat! The only thing that will convince retailers to honor our holidays is for shoppers to fail to show up. And that won't happen.

I refuse to shop on any holiday. Period. I won't shop on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter. I also refuse to shop on Sunday. If enough of us did the same retailers would think twice about forcing their employees to work holidays.

I’ll be at Target on Thanksgiving. If I want to shop, and I do, they provide me with the opportunity.

I never want to see Blue Laws again!
