Ok,, that sure gives the city an incentive to make this someone else’s fault. At a paltry 250k per household, it gives them about 20 million reasons. This will wind up being a hundred million dollars worth of lawsuits.
The city would love for this to be a homicide, an attempt at arson fraud, or some heater mechanic who did shoddy work.

That is why I raised an eyebrow about this and why I would not want any part of the investigation. I am surprised that the NTSB and the DOT have been left out of the loop. The NTSB and DOT would be the proper channel for this investigation and will ultimately come to their own conclusion. The City on the other hand has the police department.
I am not making any conclusions, but am very suspicious based on the the photographic evidence.
