The silver lining is that if Romney had won, mentalities like Carton and his/her "you hate Romney" ugliness we've seen so often on FR since the first primary tumbles in 2007, that peculiar Romney sycophant arrogance that only perceives "hate" as standing behind any rejection of his functional Democrat registered as a Republican, would have typified an entire administration. Conservatives would have been shut-out like errant children and liberal Democrats would have been sought like best buddies; noble bipartisans all.
Romney's loss just might give conservatism a second chance, but as long as mindsets like Carton feel welcome in the GOP, then the GOP is doing it wrong and headed for another loss.
