The killing of one human being by another human being.
Technical term. Homicide as defined in the UCR and part of state law is the intentional killing of another, without respect to motive or justification. That’s what the death certificate says. There are only five choices - homicide, suicide, accidental, natural or undetermined.
It is further broken down into justifiable and non-justifiable. This will likely be ruled justifiable.
Interesting point, under state law the death certificate of an executed prisoner reads ‘judicial homicide’.
