It can’t be blamed on people who weren’t even invited into the room to run the campaign. The moderates have had two elections to prove their approach works. In fact, they have had 4 of the last six. The conservative approach worked twice, the moderates has failed 4 times. Bush, despite many areas to criticize, ran strongly on social and free market conservative ideas. He hedged on some specific issues, which is fine, and a requirement to win. Both parties have to hedge on specific issues. Overall, Bush motivated the right and pulled people in from the center. The last two cycles left people sitting home on the right, and failed to inspire the center.
“Bush, despite many areas to criticize, ran strongly on social and free market conservative idea”
And Bush lost much of his presidency and most of his respect because once in office HE ALLOWED HIMSELF TO BE CONTROLLED BY “ADVISOR’S” LIKE THE MORON QUOTED IN THIS ARTICLE.
There was a saying back in the 80’s that went, “let Reagan be Reagan.” Apparently it has been banished from the Republican party.
Yep. The Republican “moderates” kicked Governor Palin, Allen West, Herman Cain and others and the Tea Party to the curb. See how that worked for them. - Yessiree Boss; misdiagnosis all round. They keep shooting themselves in the foot; guess they’ll keep it up until they don’t have any feet left to stand on. - Now, they’re offering it all to Obama BEFORE he does his job and offers anything at all. -
