Voters want to believe in a candidate. If Republicans find that candidate, they will win.

From the 1st GOP candidate to announce until the final primary that put Romney on the ticket, none of the contenders met that qualification.

Several retreads. Some sort of flakey. Some with memory problems, both personal and policywise.

Regrettably, the 'next in line' for 2016 will probably be that Jeb guy. Just what the nation DOESN'T need.

>> Overall, Romney won fewer votes than John McCain’s doomed 2008 campaign.

Not mentioning Sarah Palin when making a statement like this, as many recent commentators have done, is borderline criminal. Almost no one was enthused about McCain as a candidate. He very much represented more of same.

Mitt Romney was a wonderful man and a very good candidate and did not deserve to lose .. If this were still the United States of America.

It is not our candidate, it is not our Party.. It is the Democrat spin machine and a mainstream press that acts as the PR wing of the Demicray Party and I do not know what to do about it. You name one person who may have had a better chance of winning?

GFL with that! The Republican Party are a bunch of morons, and in 2016 they will offer up yet another milquetoast candidate instead of a conservative. F*** ‘em. Time for a Third Party.

Wouldn’t it be great to give the GOP members a choice. The US Constitution or the Democrat party.

I think we realize what the problem really is.

There will be no “2016” for the GOP, they’ll get absorbed into the dominant ruling party as a minority political group. Welcome to the new reality.

One glaring mistake Romney made was letting Hussein define him and his policies. Early on the dims ran negative ads that weren't effectively countered, and even during the debates, Hussein kept repeating lies that were challenged only on a couple of occasions. Romney let them slide on the guise of being a "nice guy", I guess.

I want a "gut fighter" that I know will be fighting for America and me!

"Voters want to believe in a candidate. If Republicans find that candidate, they will win."

The average GOP voter did not want either McCain or Romney. How about taking away the North East's ability to 'set the agenda' in candidate selection for the GOP. The North East equals the San Francisco cabal in their lunatic dedication to lefty liberalism where way left of center is considered 'Centrist.'

How about we start the Primaries in, say Texas? See who complains about that suggestion and then we will find out who the GOP 'wets' are (to borrow a thought from the Bitish Tories)

Women are the main moderate vote in the GOP. They control the vote due to numbers. We will not get the Conservatives we need.

I remember during the primaries when it was obvious that Romney was the establishment candidate, we were being told that even though Romney wasn’t the conservatives first choice, we would come out in droves because we didn’t want Obama to get re-elected. Also, Rush Limbaugh told us that the Republican higher-ups were more concerned about winning the Senate to get the chairmanships and the big money. Well, looks like they were wrong on both counts. The fact that Romney got about 3 million fewer Republican votes than did McCain showed that the conservative voters weren’t going to just accept Romney and show up to vote for him anyway. And they lost 3 Senate seats. Wrong on both counts. Will they learn from this? Time will tell I guess.

Let’s hope that 2012 spelled the end of the Romney tries at the Presidency.

Go home, Mitt. Enjoy your retirement.

But listen to the Obama team. There is a less complicated lesson to this election. Voters want to believe in a candidate.

What belief did voters place in Obama? That he would f### up everything worse than he has already done? If so, the country's over.

.

.

Polls indicated that Romney was going to win the election. The economy is close to Great Depression era conditions, and unemployment is almost as high as when Obama entered office. Economic conditions became so dire after Obama took office it prompted the rise of an entire new movement, the Tea Party.
Presidents rarely win reelection when the economy is in the tank.

So how did Romney lose a race that numerous reputable polls and pundits predicted would be an easy win, based on historical patterns?
Massive voter fraud.

There are massive reports of criminal activity
(not mischief, not shenanigans, as many term the fraud- but CRIMINAL ACTIVITY) going on all over the U.S during the presidential election.
Reports of machines changing votes from Romney to Obama, eyewitness reports of Republican poll watchers who observed busloads of non-English speaking Somalians in Ohio being instructed to vote Obama- the list is endless.

Romney lost because of this, not any other reason.
Nobody could have won against the fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama Machine.

The evidence is overwhelming!
