Probably so. Some chat this morning says Republicans don’t want this protracted fight right now....too many other more important issues,.....to which I’d agree.

This is not just a “protracted chat” . There were serious lapses in judgement which resulted in the loss of lives. Then there was an elaborate cover up and a web of lies that built around a video.

Every person who was in that situation room on 9/11 needs to be brought in and and questioned openly in front of the American people until we have a true picture of the callous, incompetent, partisan decision making process that went on that led to the death of four Americans and the concoction of the cover up story.

Welp you bring up my concern.

I’m not at all sure we should even be holding hearings UNLESS....well as I suspect....

...I think this whole thing was a setup to get some of those CIA prisoners....all for a big donation to the Obama re-election campaign.

Are the pubs going to go to the mat if that be the case? I think they should.

If the pubs believe it is nothing but administration failure to do a decent job, well then they should let it go. Cause, first, Obama’s got a horseshoe up his butt and America won’t hold it against him. Second, they’ll never impeach for ineptitude else he’s have been let go long ago.

I also hear, y’all check me out, pub talking points to the effect...”I think the American people will demand it?”

Heard this c ouple of times.

So how will the American’s people demand it?

Oh the Tea Party will demand it. We’ll fill the DC Mall with folks, just make the call pubbie boys.

I say the pubs should only pursue this if they suspect way more than ineptitude. I think those prisoners in the CIA prison hold the key and they should keep digging to find out if the President of the U.S. really let four Americans dies for a big campaign contribution.

That is always the GOP's excuse when it comes to fighting the Dems. They saidrthe same thing after they the 2010 midterms when they had all of the momentum. They failed to achieve not one cent in spending cuts and passed the largest increase in the debt ceiling in history. Instead, spending continues to increase and the absolute best outcome we can expect from the "Grand Bargain" is a reduction of $4 trillion in deficit spending meaning that we will still add $6 trillion to the national debt during that period.

I don't hold out much hope of any spending cuts. It will be more smoke and mirrors using accounting gimmicks and putting off any real spending cuts until many years out leaving it to future Congresses. Both parties want the spending binge to continue, which will be an inevitable disaster.
