Former U.S. first lady Barbara Bush said on Thursday that she's ready to move beyond this year's campaign season, in comments that came at an Austin conference the week after President Barack Obama's re-election.
"I'm tired now of the elections," Bush, who had endorsed Republican Mitt Romney, said at a forum on America's first ladies. "People spoke. Move on, get on with it. I want to do other things and not to be ugly."
Bush, sporting a double strand of her signature pearls, joined former first lady Laura Bush on a panel for the Enduring Legacies of America's First Ladies conference at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library.
The first ladies avoided offering political opinions, but Barbara Bush did issue a stern warning to both Republicans and Democrats.
"They are going to have to compromise," said Barbara Bush, the wife of former President George H.W. Bush. "It's not a dirty word."

That is what Bush’s are good at-compromise.
Get on with what?
The impeachment and conviction is all I’ll agree with.
Move on where?
Get on with what?
No Mrs Bush.
It’s easy to “get over it” if you don’t have 401Ks to worry about or your not looking at healthcare rationing or have armed protection for you 24/7.
I wish I could “get over it”.
Alas, Obamerica is not going to let me do that.
That attitude is exactly what got us where we are now. Compromise has always been a one way street - giving the libs half of what they want and getting nothing in return. A Bush speciality.
I would move on if I didn’t think Obama won by fraud. After seeing what West is going through, I have serious doubts about an honest election.
Our elites don’t have to worry about jobs, the county going broke, or stupid wars either. Must be nice...
The ruling class has spoken.
Move on, get on with it.
“I’m tired now of the elections”...
“Jeeves, this is all so boring, all this talk of rationed healthcare and unemployment. I don’t want to hear one more word about the little peoples’ problems, do you understand? Now bring me my lemon-ahd.”
Dear Barbara, shut up and go away
...a stern warning to both Republicans and Democrats. "They are going to have to compromise,"...
She wants us to compromise to the point that we are no longer who we profess ourselves to be, but some twisted amalgam that we despise and loathe.
I’m sorry Mrs. Bush the time for compromise is past. When one side cheats and steals to achieve their ends then compromise is no longer possible.
Her husband and son and the rest of their RINO friends bear a large measure of responsibility for our current state of affairs. So at this time I would like to politely tell her to shut up.
“Pssssst.....hey, Mrs. Bush. No one cares what you think...”
Second that.
Perhaps you should send Mrs. Bush the website for Move on.org. She ain’t gunna have to worry about Obamacare or any thing else for long. They probably have her name at the top of the Death Panel list.
Bush’s fault!
