Maybe we could open a thread to brain storm on how to get Virginia Sunaharas records? Maybe it will be easier to get her records? Maybe someone could write a check to Viginia and then give it to her brothers hands? With stipulation that he is inheriting the money from her, and only if he can show her BC and his. This way he has a clear need to see it, and prove her birth. To prove he is related to her, and has access to her records, as a right of a relative. Maybe insurance benefit or property to inherit on mainland that requires her original copy of her BC.

It is good to toss these ideas around, but HI has that annoying language at the bottom of the short form stating that this form is legal proof of HI birth in any legal proceeding, or some such, IIRC.
